Useful Links
Some of my favourite links:
www.steamsounds.org.uk - My friend David Bailey's partner website where you will find many recordings of UK steam, both on the main line and preserved railways. He has also recorded the world's newest steam locomotive, A1 Peppercorn Pacific 60163 "Tornado".
www.dampfsound.de - Fellow sound recordist Joerg Dreckmann has a fabulous website of the sounds of many german locomotive classes
The Great Train Show on the ABC is available as a podcast, and is hosted by former Deputy Prime Minister Tim Fischer, a well known advocate of rail in Australia. They occasionally feature some excellent recordings by ABC Sound Recordist Dennis Rittson. Check it out at www.abc.net.au/local/features/greattrainshow/
The ABC also featured some of my recordings in a telemovie about a former Prime Minister John Curtin. You can find details of the movie at www.abc.net.au/programsales/s1901337.htm
There are a couple of my older diesel recordings available on the ARHS Queensland website on the gallery pages at www.arhs-qld.org.au
If you know of any other railway sound links or have your own website that features sound recordings, please let me know and I will continue to add to them here.
